Name: Sarah Asher Geronimo

Biography:
Sarah Asher Geronimo popularly known as Sarah Geronimo was born on July 25, 1988 in Sta. Cruz Manila. She is a Filipina actress-singer. During the time of her birth her father Delfin Geronimo was employed with PLDT and the mother Divina Asher Geronimo run a beauty parlor business in their house at Sta. Cruz Manila. Sarah is the third child of four children. She had her first music lessons from her father Geronimo who practiced her every day to develop her talent in singing. At the age of two she first sang on stage at a mall show singing together with Pinky Marquez and Richard Reynoso to the song “Pasko Na Naman”. 

Her mother Divina would usually accompany her to several auditions for different television programs. When she was four years old Sarah became part of the show “Pen-pen de Sarapen until she turned 6 and with Ang TV when she was seven years of age. In between these shows Sarah would also be performing in malls and in some hotel lounges. She was also chosen to perform during the Papal visit of Pope John Paul II in 1995. 

It was in the singing contest “Star For A Night “hosted by Regine Velasquez where Sarah gained her stardom. On March 1, 2003 at the age of fourteen she was the grand prize winner of the said show. She won a total of P1,000,000 and a managerial contract under Viva Artist Agency. After her success in that singing contest a lot of projects followed. She had created numerous albums, had made many concerts, played and starred in soap operas and a mainstay in ASAP, leading roles in movies and became an endorser for both print and television. Sarah in her own way became a pop star. In the year 2005, she had her first major-solo concert. 

In 2012, she was the first Filipino to win the Mnet Asian Music Awards as Best Asian Artist. The year after, she snagged a nomination in MTV Europe Music Awards and three nominations at the World Music Awards making her the only Filipino nominee in the history. In 2013, her movie It Takes a Man and a Woman broke box office records and became the highest grossing Filipino film of all time.

She also made a record in GMMSF Box-Office Entertainment Awards by being the first and only artist to win the triple crown in history and repeated this feat in the year 2014.
